Karma Fool is not superstitious. And that is precisely why I do believe that there is life on other planets, somewhere. It's not a matter of faith. It's a matter of mathematical probability.

Today NASA announced yet another planetary discovery. This time the news is about a new, smaller type of planet--still much, much bigger than Earth, but not as big as the so-called Super Earth that has also been in the news recently. These dinkier planets are thought to be plentiful. And further expectation is that astronomers will begin to locate even smaller planets. And is thought that these more Earth-like planets will be more, well, Earth-like. And that means a greater likelihood of locating life.

Update: And as reported on Sept. 2 by Wil Wheaton, and many others, a mysterious (well, as it turns out, not so mysterious) radio signal has been detected from deep space.
